Last chance for local bass

String up your bass rods now before it is too late! In another month or so the local bass ponds will be too cold for good warm water fly fishing. But October afternoons are still a great time to get out and whack some bass!
You may not have the same great top water action you had this think about heavy streamers on longer 2x and 3x leaders. Dark, reddish brown (crayfishy) streamers are in order. A couple of my favorite flies are "Geezus Lizard", "Belly Ache Minnow" and the "Mini-Sculpin".
